Jamie Genevieve’s makeup brand has moved up into the complexion category. Here’s a look at the brand new VIEVE Modern Radiance Concealer. I have photos and swatches for you.
What is VIEVE Modern Radiance Concealer?
Available in 20 shades, the new concealer uses hyaluronic acid for hydration:
- Designed to brighten, correct and conceal
- Delivers a radiant finish
- Buildable medium to full coverage
- Suitable for use around the eyes and on blemishes and imperfections
- Doe-foot applicator for precise application

There are 20 shades throughout the collection and you can opt for a true shade for coverage, or opt for a lighter or deeper shade if you want to highlight and contour.

My review
I’m currently testing this new concealer and will be posting a full review very soon. I couldn’t start testing right away as Charlotte Tilbury’s new concealers had just arrived and I tested those first. Read on for some quick comparisons.
My first impressions are very good. It has a nice creamy formula that spreads easily on the skin and blends effortlessly. It feels comfortable and moisturizing on the skin.
My closest match from the shades sent to me is Light 3 and I could probably switch to Light 2 if I wanted a stronger brightening effect. Light 3 is a bit on the dark side for me, but I can fully get it to work because the texture blends so well. I think Tan 4 could be a nice outline color and I’ll test and report on that.
The VIEVE concealer has a nice big doe foot for covering larger areas and you can use the tapered tip for a more precise application. It’s a good applicator.
The formula is designed to resist oxidation and remain colourfast and based on my experience to date I would say it delivers on that front. I will add more to this review as I test longer.
I haven’t tested it with powder as I often skip this step as a powder phobia, but the brand is rolling that out too VIEVE Modern Powder Perfector in 4 shades. I haven’t tried this yet, but I’ll let you know when I do.
VIEVE Modern Radiance Concealer vs. Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer
The VIEVE formula gives a beautiful glow without any glow or shimmer at all, which is one of the issues that some members of my Facebook community have been discussing about the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer.
The VIEVE Modern Radiance Concealer is a really good size and you get loads of product. It’s a lot bigger than I expected. You get 0.45 fl oz for £22 as opposed to Charlotte Tilbury’s 0.25 fl oz for £25 so much better value.
I am working on before and after photos for you so please stay tuned for these. I’ll also update the wear time once I’ve fully tested it, but so far the durability seems very good.
