Tia Mowry knows her way around a stunning hairstyle. We’ve seen the actor and entrepreneur in a kaleidoscope of looks, each as gorgeous as the next. There is nothing including waist-length cornrows and blue striped braids sister sister Icon can’t, and now she’s added down-to-earth Medusa braids to her list of stunning styles.
Mowry showed off the super-long braids in a new Instagram video, where she’s first seen in a tracksuit, lip-syncing to Qveen Herby’s “Rabbit Hole.” In no time at all Mowry transforms into a bright yellow top and matching skirt with mesh panels and matching yellow shoes. “There is Silhouette!” the actress wrote in her caption. “SCHEESCH! Light up your light mommies!”

With its vibrant color and chic, minimal lines, Mowry’s all-yellow fit is the perfect summer-fall transitional look, but it’s her hair that we’re really obsessed with. Starting at her temples and falling to her hips, the actress’ four separate braids flow with the music as she transitions from comfy sweats to her glamorous “silhouette” moment. Mowry pairs the extra-long braids with a bold metallic gray cat eye, lots of eyeliner, some blush and some lip gloss — plus a pair of giant hoop earrings. As the song says, Mowry brings serious energy to the main character.
Though Mowry often changes up her hair look, braids are definitely her thing. In January, the star sported an opulent side braid interwoven with chains and beads, and in February, she celebrated Valentine’s Day with the most adorable high pony with a braided heart detail. Mowry also gave us an up close and personal look at her cornrows, which were in the works in May, and we can’t forget the ode to Black Hair she posted in August, featuring Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul – The Queens Remix,” where she has shown off many of her go-to styles.
“My crown is more than self-expression, it’s my story. Regardless of the style, black hair not only tells our story, it shares our story,” Mowry shared in her caption at the time. “I’m proud to have the freedom to express power through my hair. My crown is beautiful and I celebrate it every day!”
