As her new book The light we carryShe makes it clear that the only certainty in life is change – and MichelleObama hugs it. It seems she’s finding a lot of joy in her current chapter — including through her fashion and beauty choices.
The book’s promotional tour doubled as a catwalk: Obama stepped out in emerald green eyeshadow (to match her ’70s-inspired velvet suit), box braids arranged in a sky-high topknot, and ultra-shiny lip gloss paired with soft, smoky eyes.
“It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to be a part of Michelle Obama’s journey,” says her longtime makeup artist, Carl Ray Curls. “Her book tour is just the latest example of the positive energy, elegance and joy she brings to the world – I wanted to reflect these qualities through the beauty looks we created.”
