Take a look at that razor hidden in your bathroom cabinet or counter – is it plastic? Available? Is there another whole bag of them scurrying away in the drawer? Stop using these, pronto! We bet that if you took all those plastic disposable razors that people around the world threw in the trash, you could create a landfill the size of Texas. For those who don’t have an epilator or deep pockets for regular waxing, it’s time to go green with sustainable razors.
The green shave is three pronged: in addition to being rechargeable, the wand should be made from recyclable, sustainable materials or recycled plastic, and ideally the brand’s blades should also be recyclable. Fortunately, there are currently plenty of razors you can buy online that meet at least two of these three criteria.
Also note that these razors look super snazzy. So if you’re imagining something that looks like your friend’s encrusted razor, think again. And for a razor that will last you a long time, make it one that will only add style to your bathroom. Going from those candy cane-like razors to something that’s so much easier on the eyes is another reason to go sustainability. A rose gold razor, anyone?
