The 11th Annual LACMA Art + Film Gala brought out the theatrical side of Sydney Sweeney on the purple carpet. It started with her Giambattista Valli couture gown, which was ruffled from the shoulders to the cuffs of her voluminous sleeves and covered in pink rosettes. Sweeney took to Instagram on Nov. 6 and captioned her photos from the gala, “Last night skinny.”
Her flawless side-swept ballerina bun, done by hairstylist Glen Coco Oropeza, and a set of false lashes carefully applied along Sweeney’s lower lash line by makeup artist Melissa Hernandez brought her carpet appearance into the spotlight.
Her ballerina glamor was soft, romantic, and ethereal. Hernandez blushed Sweeney’s cheeks with pink blush, and for the eyes, she gave Sweeney a delicate swipe of eyeliner, white and pastel pink eyeshadow along the crescent of the eyelids, and a white eyeliner pencil along the waterline.

On the night of the gala, Saturday November 5, Sweeney gave a sneak peek of how her ballerina nail look would unfold on her Instagram Story before arriving on the purple carpet. She gave a lavish preview of her manicure, for which nail artist Zola Ganzorigt adorned Sweeney’s nails with a pink cat-eye nail design and American manicure detailing along the tips of her almond-shaped nails.
