Sephora just launched their Same-Day Unlimited subscription service, which costs $49 per year, but they offer a 30-day free trial. There is no minimum order quantity and you can get your beauty products in “just two hours”. This replaces the discontinued flash shipping service (free unlimited two-day shipping for $15/year) which was a solid subscription.
I think $49/year is steep for a non-blogger customer – how many orders per year are made to justify a $49/year subscription? I’ll keep an eye on it, but I imagine it only applies to products that are in stock at the local store, so it may also depend on proximity to a local store as it’s part of the same. Day delivery services (which cost $6.95 per order). Many Sephora releases are released online first, and then there are a whole host of exclusive online releases throughout the year.
As reader Neo said on Discord, it’s “very popular for Sephora to discontinue a service and replace it with something even less attractive.” To break even, you must place at least 7 orders within the year. Since it’s delivered locally, most customers will (and should!) tip the delivery driver, so any order due to the same-day delivery label costs at least a few dollars on top of “free”!
