Nice Wednesday! Today, sharing an updated self-care roundup with some favorites to wind down and unwind at the end of the day. I’m still in this new year and refreshing my mindset. It’s super dry this time of year and my lips and hands are definitely feeling it! Here are some things I’ve loved from Nordstrom lately for my nightly beauty ritual.
I just refilled one of my favorite body washes, which is the Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser. It’s been a staple for as long as I can remember. It’s a citrus blend of tangerine peel, bergamot, and geranium leaf—all my favorites. Definitely unisex (Andrew loves it too).
The Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Scrub is great too, but right now I’m loving the Kate Somerville Exfolicate Body Scrub. It’s great for smoothing and brightening the skin. Helps remove dead skin, and although it contains a blend of physical and chemical peels, it doesn’t dry out the skin. I use it 1-2x a week.
For the ultimate relaxing scent, I think the Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin Candle is one of the best for creating a spa-like atmosphere at home. It’s one of the strongest candle scents I’ve ever burned. I also love the Lime Basil & Mandarin Room Spray which pairs really well with the candle.
For lip balms, I have three go-to places for clear lip treatments at the moment. I keep these in my bedside table and apply them right before bed. The Too Faced Hangover Pillow Balm is available in a clear version and tinted options. It really feels like a pillow cushion for the lips.
If you’re willing to spend some cash, the La Mer Lip Volumizer or U Beauty Lip Plasma are also excellent. The La Mer is formulated as a lip plumper but I use it as a regular balm. Both are smooth and non-sticky.
For skin, I did a skincare roundup last week if you want more detail on my routine. I love the La Mer Cleansing Foam for a cleanser that leaves skin sparkling clean but still well moisturized. Some of you have asked for recommendations on the best face scrub, and the best gentle option I’ve tried is the Fresh Sugar Face Polish. It has a moisturizing finish and the exfoliating particles melt into the skin as you massage it.
The best lightweight face mist I’ve tried is the Sisley Floral Spray Mist. Quite a bit of effort, but there’s really nothing else that quite compares that has that super fine mist dispenser and light, refreshing feel. I also love the La Mer Facial Mist Spray and everything from Omorovicza.
Last but not least, I must once again commend the Jo Malone Vitamin E Hand Lotion and the Toiletry Body Oil. This dry season has taken its toll on my skin. Both were in heavy rotation and I’d call these must-haves for dry skin protectors.
You can find it all at Nordstrom. Let me know what your favorite self-care products are! I’m currently looking for a new face oil to try – let me know if you have a favorite!
