Natasha Denona continues to be one of the best makeup lines for gorgeous innovative palettes and colors. I love that she brings us so many beautiful, unique product launches – so much thought and care goes into her creations. Her new My Dream Collection has beautiful tones and textures. Today I have some swatches and an evaluation of the items. Today is the final day of the Sephora Holiday Savings event. If you’re looking for makeup that’s new (instead of iterations), be sure to check out her collection.
I have swatches and a review but didn’t have time to photograph makeup looks for this launch. I wanted to get you the swatches. I started a poll on my Instagram Stories and even though this collection started weeks ago, most of you still wanted swatches.
My dream eyeshadow palette
The Natasha Denona My Dream Eyeshadow Palette ($69) is absolutely stunning. I think it’s one of the best and most unique palettes of the year. I’ve played with it a few times and you can create a variety of looks. Each individual shade can be applied wonderfully. I love that she always has a great mix of textures: matte, shimmer, sparkle, duo-chrome. Some of their palettes are a bit too trendy for my personal style. This one is on trend but has a good mix of colors that even conservative makeup lovers can wear.
The palette has 13 new shades and 2 repromotes:
- Famila is a warm dark brown
- Babies is a stunning metallic mauve sparkle
- Carpe-Diem is a warm, matte brown
- Serenity is a softly shimmering taupe
- Aspiration is a matte ultra deep cool brown
- Blackest Black is a matte black
- Instinct is a magenta satin
- Thrill is a sparkling champagne
- Unity is a matte warm terracotta peach
- Risk is a beautiful smooth metallic reddish plum
- Invention is a sparkling topper with an orange bronze finish
- Vision is a duochrome purple green pink nude
- Edgy is a purple aubergine satin
- Spontaneous is a sparkling champagne
- Nurture is a matte cool brown
color layers nice. Combinations are endless. The color palette is amazing with light tones, mid tones, deep tones and bold pops. Absolutely love.
My dream cheek trio
Natasha Denona’s My Dream Cheek Trio ($48) is a gorgeous palette that I think suits a wide range of skin tones. It has a dusty, neutral-cool pink Cream Blush (with a velvety finish), a Glow Cream Base (a shimmering creamy nude shade that melts into the skin and has a subtle shimmer) and a Dream Glow Highlighter (another shimmering champagne). , a gel-to-powder finish). ). I think all three are beautiful and very comfortable to wear. The highlighters have a very similar vibe to her other cheek products. I still think this is a beautiful one to wear this holiday for a polished effortless look.
The colors can be applied wonderfully and have a very good pigment. They are easy to layer and mix. They don’t accentuate my pores or skin texture. It’s great that the highlighters can also be used for the eyes.
My Dream Lipstick, Lip Gloss, Lip Pencil
The last three items I swatched are for the lips. My Dream Lipstick ($27) is a neutral cool mauve-pink that’s super creamy and opaque. My Dream Lip Gloss ($27) has a lovely smooth texture in a neutral mauve-pink with medium coverage and a tiny hint of shimmer. My Dream Lip Crayon ($24) is an ultra-pigmented, long-lasting lipstick in a nude mauve color.
Texture and pigmentation are all beautiful and of excellent quality. Unfortunately the colors didn’t work on my medium olive complexion. They have a bit too much gray undertone to work for my pigmented lips and tanned skin. I think these would be super flattering on cool skin tones or fair complexions.
Overall a nice collection with lots of love. Of all their palettes, my favorites are still their Glam and Biba palettes. However, the new My Dream Collection Palette is truly unique. So if you are looking for something new and innovative, this is the palette to try.
I have a brief synopsis of what I took away from the Sephora sale below. You can click any item to buy directly from Sephora if you are interested! I also bought this hourglass brush set (not included in the collage).
