<
NARS has launched some new arrivals for spring with their 2023 Orgasm collection in stunning pink packaging and I have a review + sample for you today. The collection is currently exclusive to Ulta Beauty and NARS Cosmetics. There are 5 new pieces including:
Orgasm Rising Eyeshadow Palette
I’ll start with my favorite piece in the collection, the Orgasm Rising Eyeshadow Palette. This is a stunning 9 shade palette. It has a good mix of textures and tones. To me this seems like an updated version of their Wanted range from a few years ago (which I really loved). This palette has:
- Hotwired is a metallic champagne
- High Speed is a shimmery beige peach with sparkles
- Orgasm is a rose gold shimmer
- Seven Heaven is a matte soft light brown
- Seduced is a medium rosy sparkle full of gold and silver and pink flecks
- Reckless is a warm satin brown with tiny gold shimmers
- Push It is a medium matte, warm brown
- Faster Pussycat is a deeper copper shimmer
- Galapagos is a matte dark chocolate with golden speckles
Love the tones, pigment, color payoff and portability. It’s warm but not too warm/red for my skin tone. It’s one I can easily imagine doing this year. It’s similar to what we’ve seen from NARS in the past, but I still really like this one.
The multiples
NARS has two Multiple Cream Sticks in the new limited edition packaging. Orgasm is her classic red-gold shimmer. This one seems softer in texture than I remember, but not dewy. It’s almost invisible on my skin color. The gold and pink tones almost match my skin (NARS Light Reflecting Foundation in Santa Fe + Sahel at the moment) so all you see is a slight golden-pink tinge.
Because it has a very softening finish, it has minimal lasting effects on me. I think it could be used as a nice highlight for special dates or going out, but it’s not going to be an all-day product, especially if you have combination/oily skin.

I did another look with her regular powder blush in Orgasm which looks a lot better on me. If you want that tone but not a shimmer then I highly recommend checking out the Liquid Blush in Orgasm. This is one of the best liquid blush formulas and I wish they would release more shades with it!

NARS multiple in orgasm frenzy
Orgasm Rush is a deeper, almost rusty color. It has a less softening finish, an almost thinner texture and dries better. I’m undecided on this. I’m at my palest right now (almost 2 foundation shades lighter than I normally am) so it’s pulling a bit of orange. If I had a tan I think I would like this one more but due to the transparency I’m not sure how noticeable it would be.
Orgasm Four Play Blush Quad
Lastly, let’s take a look at the Orgasm Four Play Blush Quad. This has that pressed metallic finish. It’s not as frosty as I expected, and on me it didn’t accentuate texture (big plus!). It’s a nice introduction to the line if you’re new to NARS, and the colors blend well against the skin. I love the compact size (fits easily in my hand) and the pan size is pretty good. Comfortable, pretty and radiant.

- Orgasm X deeper pink with gold shimmer
- Orgasm Rush copper shimmer

However, I can’t help feeling that this is a lazy repetition of what NARS has launched so many times in the past. I might be a bit harsh, but it’s not new or innovative to me. You can definitely still create a wide variety of looks with this one, and I like that there’s a good range of colors. If they brought something back or repeated a previous introduction on a quad I would 100% love it if they brought back the Dual Intensity Blushes in the satin/matte finish.
This is my take on the new NARS Orgasm Collection for spring. I still think that Afterglow Lip Shine, Original Powder Blush, and Liquid Blush are the best shades in the Orgasm line.
