Maybelline Peachy Super Stay Vinyl Ink Liquid Lipcolor ($12.99 for 0.14 ounces) is a darker peach with moderate, warm undertones (it’s slightly pink-leaning) paired with a glossy off-white finish. It could have been applied a little more evenly and worn longer (compared to how well other shades wore, but this was one of the lighter shades so the shorter wear time wasn’t unexpected).

formula overview
$12.99/0.14oz. – $92.79 per ounce
The formula is said to have a “no-budget” color that lasts “16 hours” without smudging or transferring. It had a light, smooth, and spreadable consistency that was fairly runny, but usually not too thin or too runny, making it easy enough to work with on my lips. Those with less space on their lips may want to use only one side of the applicator to begin with.
The majority of the shades had an opaque coverage applied in one coat. With this formula, you should give it at least 15 seconds to “set”, which means it will become more sticky, sticky and non-transferring, but it’s better to give it 30 seconds and then gently pinch your lips. There is a little stickiness that comes off but no visible color. (Before it’s hardened it gets on teeth easily, but once it’s hardened it doesn’t transfer to teeth!)
I found that the initial “set” phase can feel a little clingy – not uncomfortable, but I know I’m wearing something – but after an hour or two of wear it becomes more and more flexible and comfortable. The product forgives irregularities in the texture of the lips and lasts quite a long time. There were a few shades that had more of a jelly-like, slightly translucent finish than a more “vinyl”-like, creamier sheen.
I had no issues with the color lasting through drinks (water, latte) and one meal, but two meals definitely applied it more noticeably. It seemed to wear out evenly. I was impressed with the overall longevity, but especially with the comfort: really quite comfortable and dare I say, slightly hydrating over the 10-14 hours the sunglasses were worn. The lighter shades tended to wear off quicker than richer/deeper shades, which is typical of most lip color formulas.
It had a very sweet, caramel-like scent but no discernible taste. I didn’t really notice the scent after the first use.
