Radiant in a low-cut red Atelier Versace dress with a voluminous train, LilyJames represented Britain in style at the Golden Globes on the night of January 10th. There’s a fine art to dressing and looking just right on the red carpet – a key element of which is the beauty look. If the dress is dramatic, how do you balance it with hair and makeup? James and her team just offered a master class.
James’ shorter-than-usual hair was styled into a “bombshell ’90s silhouette,” according to her favorite hairstylist, Halley Brisker. He used Great Lengths Hair Tape Extensions to add volume in the front of her hair and around her face to “really maximize that streak.” The result was a glamorous, modern take on old Hollywood glamour, perfect for the red carpet.
Makeup artist Nina Park (who was also working with Daisy Edgar-Jones that night) used Charlotte Tilbury makeup to give James an elegant, polished look. Alongside flawless skin, she paired a soft cat flick with a fan of fluttering lashes, adding a subtle hint of shine to her eyelids. Not to mention those enviably thick brows that have been perfectly brushed into position. It was makeup that felt effortless and didn’t distract from her dress.
