New York Fashion Week took place from September 9th to 14th, 2022. Many stars and models presented hot nail looks on the catwalk that your customers want.
We’ve compiled guides from five different NYFW shows that use ORLY and après nail products so you can learn how to recreate these looks with ease.
Suzanne Alexandra

The inspiration for this show was “a ’90s nod with a Susan Alexandra twist.” The ’90s were all about square nails in vampire colors, metallic greens and blues, confetti, and of course, a classic French tip.
Nail artist Holly Falcone created the looks. Saturday night live Actress Sarah Sherman got her nails done for the show. This is how her French manicure from the 90s was born.

Sandy Liang
Pink Ballet Slippers But anime nail look as part of Sandy Liang NYFW show, nails by Holly FalconeCourtesy of ORLY
Sandy Liang’s show was a tribute to uniforms. The inspiration for this look was pink ballet slippers, but anime.
To create this look Falcone used Orlys Can’t Jet Enough and Shining Armor.
Falcone says the following about her inspiration for the look: “Coming back to the uniform looks, this is a nod to the ballet-inspired pink satin look, but make it an anime. Can’t Jet Enough’s metallic pink is like the spiced up version of Sailor Moon.”
Priskavera
This collection offers materials in so many colors and textures. Falcone chose to match the nail color and finish to the materials. The nails have been sculpted into long almond shapes that feature everything from creamy bold reds, metallic gold, neon pink, amber tones, bright yellow and more.
Falcone created a long hanging gem set as part of the nail looks for the collection.
ORLY’s Builder in the Bottle was essential to creating this look as it can be used to create incredible 3D textures or securely attach gems and crystals.
To create the look, apply one coat of bonder and two coats of polish, then finish with Shining Armor Top Coat.
Bacheva
Discussing her inspiration for the nail looks for the Batsheva show, Falcone says, “We drew inspiration directly from Batsheva’s variety of prints, fabrics, personalities and colors of the models. The nail looks are a twist on the classic elegant long nail, but they are longer, almond shaped and feature more colorful hues and textures. Think hot pink, bold red, pastels, chrome and shimmer.”
One look featured vintage rose nail art that matched the stylist’s designs. Here’s how Falcone created the look.

Nail Artist Sojin Oh created the nail looks for Maisie Wilen’s Spring/Summer 2023 NYFW show using Aprés Nail products.
The nail looks were inspired by the unique shades of the entire clothing line.
Some of the nail designs also featured a peekaboo nail look – one color on the top of the nail and a different color on the inside of the nail. These looks were created with Après Nail Gel-X tips.
To create the nail looks for this show, Oh used colors from a new collection by Aprés Nails, Aprés Gel Couleur. The look featured the following colors from the collection: Ocher Okurrr, Yuri-Kai, Concrete Hustle, Pirouette Pout, and Kung Fu Tortoise.
