The formula is said to have a “highly pigmented, creamy color” that imparts a “natural, sun-kissed glow” with a “hint of shimmer.” The shades had buildable opacity ranging from semi-transparent to medium to full opacity, although they were quite opaque when first applied – they were easy to blend to the point where they were better built in layers. However, I would recommend letting each coat dry before adding another one for more opacity.
The texture was light, emollient and like a gel cream – spreadable without being too thick or too thin. I liked dabbing it onto my skin with my fingertips, but a synthetic brush worked too. Luckily I had no trouble lifting base products. The formula became more velvety as it dried, leaving a more semi-matte finish after around 15-20 seconds.
The finish was subtly pearlescent and when combined with the underlying semi-matte finish had the effect of a soft satin. However, some shades were more pearlescent and closer to a satin finish. Most shades lasted about eight to eight and a half hours on me before showing any signs of fading on me.
