If you spend any time in your car, especially in traffic, you know that when you’re stuck in traffic, you at least want the drive to be peaceful—or as peaceful as you can make it. When Lincoln launched Coastal Mornings fragrance with Serena Williams at Art Basel and shared a redesigned inner sanctuary with Rejuvenation Moods, it caught our attention!

Lincoln celebrated its centenary at Miami’s Art Week to celebrate Lincoln’s never-ending pursuit of art “Serenity, suppleness, and the ‘power of refuge.'”
The mysterious part? (We love a good teaser!) Serena Williams even caught our attention on the Gram with the news that she may be releasing a new fragrance – but this isn’t one for you or me to wear – we can only experience it exclusively inside the Lincoln Star™ concept vehicle. futuristic, luxurious, and calming? Oh, we’re listening now.
An inner sanctum in your car? We’re always here for things that inspire or create space for an enhanced mental health experience. Always… and with the traffic we have endured and will continue to be brave?
If there’s anything that could make a 2 hour drive in traffic for 30 miles smoother? We need to know all the details and of course share with you!
The Power of Sanctuary at the Lincoln Art Basel Activation
Before activation even began, Lincoln invited a few influencers to Art Basel and left them completely in the dark about this secret sanctuary reveal!
The ambassadors received an invitation and a bottle of perfume in the mail and were told to show up in Miami, ready for a big announcement! There was no call to Lincoln, just a bottle, an invitation, and a mysterious tip that Serena Williams would be involved somehow.
The mystery and the suspense, right?
When the influencers arrived at the SLS Hotel, they were excited to discover it was all part of Lincoln’s year-round commitment to the “Power of the Sanctuary”. Lincoln announced that the invitation and perfume bottle received just days earlier is indeed one of the car’s sensory-stimulating rejuvenation offerings, but one that can only be experienced INSIDE a Lincoln vehicle.
But activation didn’t stop there…
At the intersection of Scent & Sanctuary

Lincoln was the host “The Intersection of Fragrance & Refuge” to speak to tennis icon and Lincoln brand ambassador Serena Williams “Future of the Sanctuary and the Importance of Fragrance.” She was joined by Estee Lauder’s Design & Hospitality Creative Director Gabriele Chiave and Lincoln Interior Design Chief Ryan Niemic.
That’s kind of awesome, isn’t it? For those of you returning to work and having to manage the ridiculous commutes, being able to bring self-care and composure to your car is pretty smart.
“The Sanctuary is a place where you can relax, refresh and be relieved of all the stress and cares of the world. The scent reminds me of coolness and calm, the sea at dawn, it’s really nice and pleasant and refreshing.” – Claire from FashionBombDailj
Some of us already use car fresheners, but what if we could actually envision a spa-like experience in our car? From scents to massages to lighting, playing out our senses and stress? How many of you spend 30 minutes in your car before even stepping into your home? What if this time could be used consciously to relax, connect and let go?!
Following the panel discussion, Lincoln unveiled an installation featuring the Lincoln Star™ concept. The concept, revealed earlier this year, hints at the brand’s design for its future electric vehicles. The Lincoln Star™ Concept also calls for a redesigned inner sanctuary with Rejuvenation Moods, a “Harmonized sensory experience with massage, motion graphics, audio and even scent.”

Did you get that? A car that offers aromatic scents, chairs that massage you, specific audio sounds that make you relax and more? That’s what these Rejuvenation Moods are all about!
