This year’s live special guest will be none other than Color Wow’s world-renowned hair stylist and creative director Chris Appleton (@chrisappleton1)who will lead a one-hour class on stage with a live model.
“I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to work with Cosmo Prof on their Color the World event,” says Appleton Experiences. I love being able to give back and helping to teach aspiring stylists how to create the unexpected and push the boundaries of what is possible!”
Cosmo Prof is committed to expanding education and opportunities for more people across the beauty industry. Here are some of the exciting changes made for Color the World 2022:
- Curriculum Extension: Access to training courses on skin care and nail techniques.
- Voice recording: This year’s event also aims to break down language barriers by adding Spanish classes.
- Participant competition: Traditionally focused on hair styling and color, this year’s contestants will also compete in the Nail Artist and Textured Hair Artist categories. They will be competing live in Dallas, TX for a chance at $1500 worth of prizes and an opportunity to gain incredible exposure. Guests in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in the competition by helping to choose the winners live during the event.
“I’m really excited about Color The World, not just for the experience, but for the connection between color and culture,” he says Cosmo Art Team Member Prof. Keon Washington (@keonthebarber). “There are so many different artists out there, all from very different backgrounds and with very different types of customers. It’s amazing to see the results you can get when you have 10 people with the same colors and collections, but they all produce countless different results. By combining so many different imaginations and skills with world-class tools, colors and education, the results are endless.”
