The formula is said to have “rich pigment delivery” with a “skin-gilding satin texture” that doesn’t “wrinkle, cake or settle into fine lines.” The highlighter formula was smooth, slightly dense but not overly firm or stiff, and picked up evenly with a brush. For the most part, they had opaque to opaque color coverage that remained blendable and easy to work with, allowing one to use a lighter hand if needed to achieve more transparent, more buildable coverage.
Some shades tended slightly to accentuate skin texture at higher opacity levels, so it was a formula more ideal for smoother skin when worn at semi-opaque or higher opacity; otherwise it should be suitable for semi-transparent to medium coverage on skin with some structure.
It is remarkable that the actual product pans rotate in circles inside the compact. The can itself appears to be refillable as there is a small hole in the back for inserting a needle (or similar) to pop out the pan, but it shouldn’t rotate during use as that’s a more annoying experience of using it!
