Charlotte Tilbury launched new powder highlighters called Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighters ($48 each). There are seven shades in total – six shades are available from most retailers such as Nordstrom, Sephora, Bloomingdale’s, Revolve etc and one of these looks like it’s exclusive to Charlotte Tilbury (Sunset Glow).
I picked up six of the Glow Glide highlighters to swatch and test. These are powder highlighters that apply very smoothly. Shimmer is finely ground and shimmery with medium to rich pigment. I’d say the finish is on the shinier side, but it’s easy to blend/fade out for a more subtle highlight.
At this point I think I have enough highlighters to last several lifetimes, but I think these are really nice. I like that there are tones that suit light, medium, medium and deeper skin tones. I don’t know if I would name one of these must-haves, for me these have a very similar vibe to the current Dior Forever Couture Luminizer Powders, but with slight differences in color and undertone.
Colors include:
- Moonlit Glow is a light ivory highlighter on my skin, it has the sharpest contrast on my skin
- Champagne Glow is a champagne highlighter, also very pale but a little deeper
- Pillow Talk Glow is a slightly pearly pink shimmer
- Gilded Glow is a pretty gold shimmer
- Bronze Glow is a neutral golden bronze, definitely looks bronze on my skin, I think it makes a great eyeshadow color
- Rose Gold Glow is the best highlighter I’ve seen that goes well with rose gold, warm draws on my skin almost orange but I think this would look gorgeous on darker skin tones
For my skin twins, be quick to note that I’m a shade to a shade and a half lighter than I normally am. With some foundations I had to buy a shade lighter because most of them are too dark for me. I’m tanning easily so I suspect I’ll be getting more color soon. I am now Shade 6 for the Charlotte Tilbury Foundation.

Overall, I like the quality and workmanship very much. My favorites are Pillow Talk Glow and Champagne Glow, although I think I’ll definitely wear Bronze Glow more once I get some more color. I really love the color in Gilded Glow but it’s a bit warm/yellow to me at the moment. For a more neutral gold, I think the Dior Forever Couture Highlighter in Golden Glow is more wearable as it’s more neutral and less yellow. For a less orange/warm color than Charlotte Tilbury Rose Gold, I think you can opt for the Chanel Oversize Highlighter in Or Rose.
Since I love her Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand in Peachgasm, I wish she had released a peachy powder highlighter or a deeper pink to match her Pinkgasm shade. For now I’m sticking with the wands as I think these colors are perfect.
