Blackpinks Jisoo has been a Dior supporter for some time. In 2021, she was named the House’s global ambassador for fashion and beauty and has since regularly front row Dior shows.
The inspiration for Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Spring/Summer 2023 couture collection was Josephine Baker, but Jisoo channeled Audrey Hepburn in the front row with thin bangs, a neat bun and a cat streak that evoked the actor’s signature look.
Creative and Image Director of Christian Dior Makeup Peter Philips was behind the nostalgic beauty look and also oversaw the make-up on the catwalk. Meanwhile, the outfit the musician chose – a white dress with a sheer shirt underneath from Chiuri’s Fall/Winter 2022 couture show – reflected Hepburn’s penchant for sleek, feminine silhouettes and a monochromatic palette.
In terms of accessories, the singer was one of several guests to carry the house’s iconic Lady Dior bag, a style loved by the late Princess Diana, who was regularly spotted with the black and navy patent versions slung over her arm. However, Jisoo’s Lady Dior has been scaled down – big enough to hold only the bare essentials (purse, phone, lipstick).
