Hello everyone and Shanah Tovah! Tonight is Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. It’s been 3 years since I did nail art for Rosh Hashanah so I felt like it’s that time again! We’re celebrating with apples and honey, which means a sweet new year, so I brought out apple nail art!
Since one of the greatest things to eat this holiday is apples and of course it’s fall I wanted to do this on my nails. I actually used two colors from my last apple nail art because they turned out perfect. Of course, I went through several shades of red to figure out which was the best. I also have to admit that I was adamant about doing a dark background and originally went for darker blues and greens, but pulled out an old glitter at the last minute and then my heart was attached to it.
I really want to matte this look but I’ve had so much cooking and matte chips easier. Maybe tomorrow I will and then I’ll update this post!
The colors used for my 🍎 🍎🍎:
- Base: KB Shimmer Bittersweet Symphony (3 thin coats)
- Red: Morgan Taylor Don’t Break My Corazón
- Green: Stella Chroma Fenway
- Beige: Jessica Cosmetics Phenon Extra Foam Plz!
- Brown: Zoya Foster
All I did was add some red blobs for the apples and then add the brown stem. I used the greenery to add a little leaf shape. Before finishing this I added the little cream colored line just to define this a bit. It was really easy to do because I didn’t want to be realistic. I just wanted a mood.
I really thought this was going to be over an hour, but it was only 35 minutes from start to finish. It only took the apples 25 minutes to do all 10 nails. I was totally set on doing accent nails, but after doing the two middle accent nails I realized how quickly I got them done. I love them on all 10 nails.
